Dear Gmail users and Wordpress readers
Do your Substack subscriptions go to the "promotions" folder? How to fix.
Hi friends, two quick issues:
One, I just opened my Gmail “promotions” folder for the first time ever and saw that it’s full of Substacks I subscribe to. Some articles come to the main inbox and some end up in Siberia for unknown reasons. You can help fix this problem for me, and everyone else you subscribe to on Substack, by doing two very easy things:
A) respond to this email by hitting reply and it should come directly to me at LeviQuackenboss@substack.com. Say hi, tell me something you want me to write about, tell me you love me, whatever. This teaches Gmail that we’re friends who know each other and my emails won’t get banished; and also
B) Move the substack emails to your primary folder. On a desktop or laptop, open your promotions folder, put your curser on an email from Substack, click and hold. A blue box should pop up that says, “Move 1 conversation.” Then drag that email a little to the top left where it says “Primary” and drop it. A black box will appear at the bottom asking if you want to do that with all future Levi Quackenboss communications. Say yes.
On a mobile, go to promotions, press and hold an email, and the top menu pops up. Tap the 3 dots in the corner, select “move to,” and tap “primary.” This tells Gmail that your old quacky friend isn’t promotional spam after all.
If you subscribed to my old blog on Wordpress, this note is for you:
Hello, Wordpress subscribers! Years ago you signed up to follow Levi Quackenboss on Wordpress. In 2018 I moved to Patreon, and in 2021 Patreon kicked me off. I started a Substack a while later and today I’m adding your email to my free Substack subscriptions. If this is a duplicate because you’re already following on Substack from a different email, or you changed your mind and love vaccines now, or if you simply don’t want to hear from me, it’s easy to unsubscribe by reading this Substack post on unsubscribing. You can also reply through your email and ask me to take your name off; it should come directly to me.
I have lots of new posts on Substack, and today I rewrote one of my most viral pieces with lots of updates, “You Can’t Protect Another Person from Pertussis.” Read it here.
Thanks for reading.

I follow you in the Substack reading app, but I did want to comment that I am always happy to see your posts!
Truly appreciated your posts in the earlier vaccine wars. Pleased to be able to read them again, though I haven't the means to be a paid subscriber to more than the two Substacks I already subscribe to.
